The Team: As the China Vulnerability Analyst, you will be part of the Global Technology, Cyber Security team that develops and oversees the company's security program, ensuring the company is protected from existing and emerging threats
The Impact: As the China Vulnerability Analyst, you will be part of the Global Technology, Cyber Security team that develops and oversees the company's security program, ensuring the company is protected from existing and emerging threats. Working with the various teams, the Analyst will ensure that appropriate procedures followed to detect and respond decisively to security incidents, coordinating incident response related activities within China and providing support globally.
Responsibilities: The S&P Global Security team is seeking a strong candidate to be part of our Network Vulnerability Assessment team. The Vulnerability Analyst will be responsible for:
Scanning assets on corporate and externally owned networks
Work directly with stakeholders to provide analysis on identified vulnerabilities and assist in identifying remediations or mitigating controls
Assist in the process of defining, identifying, classifying, and prioritizing vulnerabilities
Deliver reports to stakeholders that provide a tactical and oversight view of vulnerabilities impacting each stakeholder
Continuously improve and streamline the assessment process by building efficiencies into the process
What We're Looking For: Basic Qualifications:
4+ years of experience in enterprise IT security management of security (Help Desk experience is a huge plus)
One or more of the following IT Security related certifications: CISSP, GSEC, Security+, CEH, CHFI, Network+
1 to 3 years of experience in a technical role
Experience with Linux and Windows operating systems
Passion and desire to learn within and without Information Security
Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to explain technical details in a clear manner to a variety of audiences
Working knowledge of general security topics (Authentication, Authorization, Encryption, etc.)
Computer science background is preferred
Knowledge of industry standard frameworks, such as ISO and NIST
Previous experience in the financial sector
Scripting and automation experience
