About The Role Role Location: Melbourne, VIC Role Type: Permanent, Fulltime
As a Senior Lawyer, Wealth Distribution, you will provide legal advice to internal clients in relation to ANZ Financial Planning and the distribution of insurance and superannuation products by ANZ. You will assist the business with instructing external legal advisers to ensure value for money and appropriate cost control and where possible keep work in-house rather than brief out and you will ensure internal customers are provided with quality legal services, with a particular focus on being proactive, efficient and 'adding value', including ensuring that customers are aware of the legal risks involved in their disputes, and the implications of and reasons behind legal advice provided to them.
About You To grow and be successful in this role, you will ideally bring the following:
Strong experience in a law firm or equivalent position in a corporation
Strong team player
Ability to build strong relationship with clients.
Excellent communication skills
Strong understanding of Chapter 7 of the Corporations Act
Law degree or equivalent and admitted to practice
