Review credit proposals for structured credits, life insurance financing, real estate, margin credit, capital market products for PB clients in accordance with Credit Policy in an accurate and efficient manner;
Identify the risks and justification required;
Provide quality and efficient credit approval (new, modification and renewal) to the business while observing compliance with established policies and standards;
Route and follow up credit proposals requiring higher level mandate approval(s);
Follow up with RMs on margin calls and limit excesses when necessary in accordance with Credit Policy and ensure exceptional approvals are properly documented;
Work with Credit Documentation Team when necessary to ensure correct terms and conditions are incorporated in the facility letter for complex credit cases;
Follow up and track the monthly "Credit Exception Report" when necessary;
Provide credit training to Front Office when necessary;
Support Front Office in credit proposals for structured credits, life insurance financing, real estate, margin financing, etc;
Improve and streamline existing credit processes/ procedures in HK Branch for effectiveness and efficiency;
Prepare various MIS and regulatory reports as required;
Assist in engaging Head Office to define and agree on the most conservative denominator for policies and processes to ensure alignment and compliance with regulators' requirements;
Liaise with Head Office CRM team to coordinate and implement credit risk controls, policies and framework in a consistent manner and in compliance with regulators' requirements;
Maintain systems and controls to ensure the Bank in full compliance with rules and regulations in accordance with SFC Code of Conduct, MAS and HKMA guidelines by: -
observing BOS policies and regulations at all times, including code of conduct and relevant ordinances of HK and Singapore;
observing internal guidelines and maintaining data confidentiality
Support and provide training to team members/ new joiners;
Active assistance and cooperation with superior to achieve departmental objectives;
Any other ad hoc duties / projects / assignments related to credit risk
Bachelor Degree holder or equivalent, preferably in Finance or Business;
At least 6 years credit experience preferably in Private Banking;
A good team player;
Effective communication and computer skills;
Fluent in Cantonese, English and Mandarin (oral & written);
