Corporate Operational Risk Management (CORM) is part of the Non-Financial Risk domain. You will hierarchically report to the Head of Corporate Operational Risk Management. Within the Non-Financial Risk domain, CORM has the responsibility to develop and maintain the non-financial risk management framework with a focus on Control Risks, Processing Risks and Unauthorized Activity Risks. CORM is responsible for policy setting and advisory and challenge activities for risks not covered by Corporate Security & Investigations (CSI), Information Risk Management (CIRM) and Compliance Risk Management (CCRM). CORM also provides direct ORM support to the Corporate Departments in Amsterdam, the central Transformation Program and ING Tech. When providing direct ORM support to these entities, CORM has a focus on Control Risks, Processing Risks and Unauthorized Activity Risks, but also on Personal & Physical Security, External & Internal Fraud and Employment Practice Risks. Technology has a crucial role in the ING of today and the future; ING Tech is the department which enables ING to move to one suite of global services, like workplace services, security services, infrastructure services, licence and vendor management and IT process management, to keep improving the experience we offer to our customers. Within CORM, you as Senior Officer Non-Financial Risk will monitor the operational risks in this dynamic and fast-changing department, which will include:
Challenging the risk assessments performed by the ING Tech organization and formulating an independent opinion on the proposed actions to mitigate identified risks;
Analyzing, reporting and monitoring operational risks and the management thereof of by ING Tech;
Performing Second Line Monitoring (SLM) on control-testing activities performed by the ING Tech-organization.
Challenging and advising on:
The operational controls implemented within Tech
Delivery and result risk management during projects and programmes within Tech
Risk management during new and existing (out- and intragroup) sourcing activities (e.g. Cloud) activities within Tech
Financial risk reporting (SOX) for Tech base entity
Contractual liabilities during new and existing procured services incl. licence management
Physical security risk management, specifically also related to global DCs
Fraud risk management related to Tech activities
Your work environment You will be operating in the international environment of ING Tech. ING Tech works according to the Agile way of working to unite, share and grow as a team.
Your profile You have extensive experience with Second Line Monitoring in the Non-Financial Risk area of a financial institution, as well as knowledge on Financial Reporting requirements like SOX. You are hands-on and have experience to work in a multi-disciplinary environment. Preferably you are familiar with ING's Non-Financial Risk Framework. What are we looking for Competencies:
Flexible - travel due to global scope
Experience as senior NFR Officer with at least 5 years in risk areas that are relevant for Operational Risk Management
Knowledge of large complex IT (inclusive Infrastructure) environments (organisation, people, processes, technology and data centres)
Knowledge of banking business, processes, procedures and systems;
Knowledge of Financial Reporting and regulatory reporting requirements;
Strong collaboration skills and ability to work across both functional and geographical lines;
Strong trusted advisor skills up to and including senior management levels;
Ability to stand your ground and be firm when needed and show flexibility when possible;
Excellent analytical skills and sound judgment;
University Degree or equivalent; and
Fluent in English (written and spoken).
