The Role Consultant, Country Depositary with responsibility for Due Diligence and On-Site Visits is a new role charged with planning, co-ordinating, executing and reporting on the Due Diligence and On-Site Visits conducted by the Depositary Services teams in Ireland.
The role is based in Limerick, working primarily in the Country Depositary team and would suit someone with either extensive funds experience or someone who has a strong Audit background, though all relevant experience will be considered.
Agree Program of Work (POW) with Department Head and Managers
Link POW to requirements under SLD/Compliance/Internal Audit etc.
Schedule, plan, co-ordinate the timely completion of Administrator site visits
Own the schedule for these activities, providing regular updates to Management
Control and lead the ongoing development of the Due Diligence Questionnaires (DDQ)
Design appropriate testing templates to perform on-site visits
Determine logistics and headcount required to execute on-site visits
Monitor compliance with agreed timelines, escalating non-compliance efficiently
Prepare Scope of Inspection document for reporting to the Boards
Prepare observations/findings document for NT entities for reporting to the Boards
Prepare finalised reporting for agreement with Department Head and Managers.
Provide ongoing status updates to Management Additional:
Work on team/department projects (e.g. new regulations and process improvements).
Assist with the completion and submission of MI to Depositary committees.
Participate in the development of the procedures and controls within the department.
Ability to identify risks and issues and escalate appropriately to the management team.
Work with the wider Country Depositary Operations, New Business and Depositary Services teams as required Qualifications/Experience:
The ideal candidate will have several years financial services experience, preferably in either a Funds or Audit background
Strong communication skills
Ability to work as part of a team
Ability to work on own initiative
Strong problem solving, technical and analytical skills
Industry qualification an advantage
