The Financial Crime Compliance role will focus on financial crime related issues for the bank's Wealth Management business, reporting to the head of Financial Crime Compliance.
Provide advisory to WM staffs and senior management on AML/CFT matters
Conduct enhanced due diligence and investigations
Perform transaction monitoring and reviews on WM client accounts and transactions
Review suspicious transaction reports and file with the relevant authorities where necessary
Conduct compliance testing on the AML/CFT program for WM * Prepare MIS in relation to AML/CFT issues for senior management
Review Source of Wealth write-up for WM clients
Approve account opening requests for High Risk/PEP accounts
Review on other financial crime related issues including anti-bribery and corruption, sanctions and other adverse news
Provide training to WM staff and senior management on AML/CFT
Liaise with audit and regulators on AML/CFT related issues
Liaise with other corporate functions on AML/CFT related issues
Liaise regionally with the local Compliance officers in AEJ on AML/CFT matters
University-level Degree preferably in a relevant discipline (Finance, Accounting, Business, Legal)
8-10 years experience in an AML Compliance role in a financial institution, preferably with private and institutional banking exposure
Good understanding of the AML/CFT legislations and regulations
Good understanding of the AML/CFT issues in China especially related to high net worth individuals
Excellent interpersonal skills. Able to liaise with internal stakeholders and external parties across all levels
Self-starter with superb investigation skills. Able to work independently under minimal supervision
ACAMS or other similar AML qualifications
Excellent skill in spoken and written English and Mandarin. Proficiency in Cantonese is an added advantage
