We are currently seeking a high caliber professional to join our team as Front Office Business Manager. Principal responsibilities
Provide strategic support to HSBC Global Asset Management Chief Investment Officer
Maintaining and monitoring day to day implementation of controls related to Chief Investment Officer risks
Governance of front office and AMEU with respect to various committees
Manage daily and weekly MiFIDII Best Execution checking process
To support the Chief Investment Officer in the development of a more formalised and structured management framework for the Hong Kong investment platform, to include strengthening and optimisation of management information
To provide strategic, ongoing and project related support for all aspects of the above areas
To act as a point of contact and maintain strong working relationships and communication regarding queries from Risk or RMC, escalation of issues, errors, breaches, approval of new brokers, derivatives authorisation, price queries/challenges, Valuation committee, internal control monitoring tests
To act as a point of contact and maintain strong working relationships and communication regarding queries on new products or instruments and proposed changes, product pipelines and future development or strategy
To act as a point of contact and maintain strong working relationships and communication regarding queries from Compliance, assisting with completion of due diligence questionnaires, clarifying policies, resolving issues regarding restrictions, processes, investigations, gap analyses on Regulatory change or events
A track record of working within or closely with the Front Office across asset classes, including Equity, Fixed Income and Foreign Exchange
Ability to work with Senior Executives across the Group
Experience using tools for transaction cost analysis
Preferably experience gained at a global asset manager
Experience of working in environments that are subject to complex regulatory change
Ideally a good understanding of MiFID II
Proven ability to work accurately within tight schedules and interact well within a team environment
Good written and verbal communication skills
Ability to clearly articulate concepts and issues, manage and interpret the deliverables
Well-developed Microsoft Excel, VBA and Microsoft PowerPoint skills
Goal orientated, commercially minded, customer and results focused
Confidence and track record in building solid and influence and motivate people
