We are currently seeking a high caliber professional to join our team as Senior Manager Innovation and Technology.
The role holder will be responsible for supporting Commercial Banking in leading, driving and executing the Innovation and Technology strategy and proposition for Commercial Banking clients
The incumbent will assume responsibility for the delivery of the Technology strategy for Commercial Banking with a strong focus on New Economy clients
The incumbent will be client facing and be connected to relevant external stakeholders to build the HSBC brand providing thought leadership or content to existing and prospect clients
Coordinate the Technology strategy across both the Corporate and Business Banking segments, ensuring we have a well-developed proposition to meet the needs of our clients across the product suite
Identify key Venture Capital firms active in the New Economy sector with the intention to develop mutually beneficial relationships to support business growth
Understand the fast changing market dynamics that will often challenge conventional coverage and credit assessment methodologies, identifying the key risks and mitigants where balance sheet support is required
Understand the interest of various stakeholders, both internally and externally to drive changes accordingly to support the Initiatives despite competing priorities in the Bank
Provide innovative ways to enable our coverage teams to have effective conversations with our clients including thought leadership engaging various parts of the Group
Serve as subject matter expert to handle enquiries from internal or external stakeholders
Build relationships with government officials and regulators in China and Hong Kong to capture opportunities during ideas exchange
Demonstrable interest in the Technology sector either through education, work experience or other relevant channels
Strong understanding of the core Commercial Banking products, such as Global Liquidity and Cash Management or Global Trade and Receivables Finances or Credit and Lending, and how they are evolving to support our clients
Strong credit assessment and analytical capabilities
Understanding of the Venture Capital industry, funding cycles and relevant event banking products to support companies growth is desirable
Strong interpersonal and communication skills applicable through written, spoken, workshops and presentation channels
Ability to set and manage own agenda, while ensuring alignment with stakeholder priorities
Significant relevant experience in banking, preferably with Hong Kong or Chinese market experience
Language skills in spoken and written Mandarin an advantage
Excellent spoken and written English
