We are currently seeking a high caliber professional to join our team as Business Analyst.
The Business Analyst takes responsibility for Change Management and Client On boarding to a number of products within Fund Services and Middle Office in Asia. These products consist of Trade Processing, Corporate Actions, Reconciliations, Derivatives Processing, Pricing, Collateral Management, Data Provision, Performance Analytics and Reporting and Fund Dealing.
The Role Holder will be expected to lead Change Management and Client On boarding to one or more products as specified.
This will involve carrying out detailed analysis to capture all requirements, working with the Information Technology teams on development items where applicable, testing the requirements for delivery into BAU or with the client and managing the go live of the change request or Client On boarding element.
They may also be required to work the product teams on the global operating model as part of the roll out.
The Role Holder must be able to operate effectively both in a team and as an individual contributor.
The position requires a solid understanding of Middle Office, Investment Operations, Custody and Fund Administration business functions being supported and the interrelationships of the associated Bank departments, applications and process flows.
Bachelor degree in business, finance or related discipline.
Recognized project management qualification like Prince 2 Practitioner.
Strong project experience applying proven methodologies, standards and tools in the preparation of analysis, Business Requirements, User Acceptance Testing, and deployments.
Understanding of complex Middle Office Trade Processing, Derivatives Management, Corporate Actions, Reconciliation, Data Provision or Cash Management.
Knowledge and exposure of market initiatives across Middle Office business components and the funds industry.
Proven Change Management or Client On boarding experience.
Must be able to work independently.
Must have strong process reengineering and problem solving skills, and be self directed.
Strong interpersonal and communication skills including report writing skills.
Experience working in a large, Global Project Team would be advantageous in this role.
The role will have a high business content and will naturally involve considerable exposure to global business users as well as Information Technology Analysts so the role holder must have pertinent product and area knowledge. In addition, the role holder will need to work with any vendors project resources, HSBC Information Technology support technicians and project personnel as per assigned projects.
Strong interpersonal and communication skills, must be capable of producing clear, unambiguous status reports, writing detailed reports, minutes and actions, making presentations to internal audiences, and interacting positively with Information Technology and business management, users, vendors and HSBC Securities Services Group PMO.
Must be familiar with fundamental networking or distributed computing environment concepts and configuration, like have a reasonable grasp of the underlying technology supporting the business.
Ability to build and maintain relationships with colleagues, clients and third parties.
Ability to plan and organize workload to meet deadlines, taking into account relative priorities.
Proficiency in the creation of critical path project plans, workflow diagrams, production of functional specifications, and the development and execution of detailed test plans is essential.
Advanced skills in use of Microsoft Project, Visio and Microsoft Office software is expected.
