We are currently seeking a high caliber professional to join our team as IFRS17 Change and Implementation Lead .
Oversee all Change and Implementation activity for the IFRS17 programme with particular emphasis on coordinating the Country Implementations
Ultimately help to insure the project is delivered to time, budget and scope so that HSBC will be compliant with the new IFRS Standard from the effective date
Work with the programme director and other business leads to ensure that HSBC is adequately prepared to respond to the IFRS new standard
Develop long and short term plans for execution and embedding of change outcomes for the most significant global transformations
Lead development of the change and implementation approach, stakeholder plans, change impact and audience assessments, business readiness, value mapping, and approach to tracking, demonstrating and embedding of change outcomes and benefits
Actively manage and coordinate the change roadmap, handling risks, issues and dependencies as they arise and keeping stakeholders focused on the agreed change outcomes and benefits. Actively collaborate with and maintain a functioning network with Change and Implementation leaders on inter dependent change programmes
Provide key inputs in the delivery of highly complex and business critical change effort in accordance with existing industry best practices and methodologies, and in the process establishing credibility for the Transformation team
Capture key learnings and feed these back into Transformation to improve methodologies and share best practice and ensure governance processes and decisions are applied consistently
Change and Implementation Lead is a critical role for the programme and requires that the job holder forms and maintains trusted working relationships with a number of senior executives across the bank, typically with Global Business and Country Leads
Effectively manage the implementation of this major change programme, managing dependencies and potential release conflicts
Knowledge of key change management methodologies and tools such as Kotter, Lewin
Exceptional contributor with proven track record for delivering large scale complex change, either in a consulting context or in operational or change roles
Needs to demonstrate having successfully transitioned significant numbers of dispersed staff and customers through complex change to achieve outcomes and associated benefits
Successfully working in a global environment, across businesses, functions, countries, and cultures
Understand or experience working on IFRS projects an advantage
Experience at a highly respected strategy consulting or management consulting firm would be advantageous.
Outstanding influencing, facilitating, and negotiating skills and experience in engaging with senior stakeholders
Outstanding relationship management
Outstanding interpersonal and communication skills with a proven ability to communicate effectively and confidently at all levels
Outstanding organizational and planning skills in order to cope with multiple large scale responsibilities
Change management accreditation would be an advantage
Understanding of HSBC Group structures, values, behaviours, processes and objectives, and how Transformation operates functionally, operationally and financially would be an advantage
Ability to link change outcomes through to benefits and the investment summary
Ability to leverage resources available to achieve goals
Ability to understand complex business problems and apply a strong commercial sense
An engaging manner, ability to build working relationships quickly
