We are currently seeking a high caliber professional to join our team as Senior Manager, Regulatory Governance ASP CMB .
The role holder is responsible for the creation of operating models for Regulatory Governance by ensuring regional oversight over embedding and implementation. Regulatory Governance includes: FATCA, CRS, Tax Transparency and Regulatory Policy enhancements
The key purpose of the role will be to ensure that Commercial Banking drives a globally consistent strategy within the region to the management and controls placed on Regulatory Governance, to ensure it meets its external (Legal and Regulatory) and internal (Global Standards, Strategy) obligations and delivers fair customer outcomes
The role holder will actively engage a wide variety of stakeholders including, Global and Local Commercial Banking Business Management and Chief Operating Office teams, key Risk and Support Stewards such as Regulatory Compliance, Legal, FCC, Global Standards, Client Coverage, Group Tax to ensure all aspects of the models are supported and impact on customers and frontline is minimized
The Role Holder will be the primary point of contact for SLoD, CMAT and Internal Audit
The role holder must be able to effectively operate across a matrix organization
Manage and drive operating models as required, establishing appropriate governance and working groups as required
Determine and make recommendations to appropriate decision making Committees
Ownership for initiatives related to the continued evolution of Regulatory Governance including identification of additional compliance requirements falling under this remit
Ownership of Regulatory initiatives that impact Asia Pacific Commercial Banking
Establish and manage relationships with key Risk Stewards and stakeholders to deliver fit for purpose operating models. Work with Country Business, Regional Business Service and Group Tax to embed operational models
The role holder will need to work across a number of stakeholders to determine a fit for purpose governance and reporting structure, target operating model and risk control environment for in-scope Customers which can be implemented and embedded at pace whilst balancing impact on our customers and frontline staff given the range of competing priorities for the frontline and the need to ensure feasibility of execution

The jobholder works under the general guidance of the Regional Head Governance, but it is expected that they exercise initiative and independent judgment, initiating and completing work in accordance with overall Commercial Banking Business Strategy with minimal supervision
Graduate degree in a relevant discipline preferred
Broad and Significant commercial banking experience, ideally with an element of this from frontline.
Effective negotiation skills, with the ability to influence decision making and decision makers
Proven ability to work in matrix management structure
Strong analytical and project management skills
Ability to work independently without close supervision and collaborate effectively as part of a team
Well-developed written and verbal communication and interpersonal skills
