Work with the Director of International Marketing and Marketing Manager to develop strategic marketing plans and partner with the international business development teams to support distribution efforts, with a focus on Europe. Markets covered include the Nordics, Benelux and Switzerland, with a focus on Germany & Austria. The role will also cover Australia and other markets as appropriate. The role involves managing all elements of the marketing mix from fully integrated campaigns to targeted marketing activity for both the institutional and wholesale audiences. Manage vendor relationships and allocate budgets as appropriate to execute on the regional marketing strategies.
Work with sales teams to understand product and channel priorities as well as the nuances of the local markets.
Develop country-specific strategies and work with the various marketing teams in London and Boston to execute on the marketing plan for each region.
Work with the Portfolio Managers and sales teams to create bespoke materials for conferences, roadshows and roundtable events.
Manage event calendar, the allocation of budget and all event and roadshow planning, acting as first point of contact for event organisers.
Develop relationship with Portfolio Managers/IPMS and brief on events/coordinate diaries.
Manage all email activity and coordination of Satuit (CRM system) content with the distribution teams, ensuring a clear contact strategy is in place.
Work closely with the content team on idea generation/developing new content and ensure that content for marketing campaigns is delivered in a timely manner.
Take ownership for content distribution via all online portals (Website, 3rd Party websites, Sponsored media and social media coordinated through media agency) in region, ensuring that we have a strong combination of organic and sponsored distribution in place.
Oversee the creation of new literature and production of all other ad-hoc marketing material, such as flyers, brochures.
Ensure that all materials are produced in accordance with the compliance guidelines for that region.
Manage the creation of agency briefs for advertisements/content for the media schedule.
In conjunction with Marketing Manager, co-manage campaigns that are global in nature.
Act as back-up for Marketing Manager when necessary.
Continually improve knowledge of funds and strategies sold within the various channels and regions in which we do business.
Keep abreast of changes within the asset management industry and monitor what our competitors are doing.
4-6 years' experience within asset management.
Previous exposure to Europe (in particular Germany & Austria) and Australia would be an advantage.
German language necessary.
Exposure to institutional marketing as well as wholesale marketing would be highly advantageous.
Strong organisational and time management skills, ability to multi-task.
Ability to work under pressure and meet strict deadlines in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
Excellent attention to detail.
Strong communication skills.
Ability to work independently and within established guidelines.
IMC qualification a plus.
