In this role, you will be responsible for the daily operation of our SGX Clearing Membership and reconciliations for the global exchanges that we clear. You will be posting trade allocations and clearing for all SGX trades in addition to performing T+1 trade amendments and give ups. You will also be monitoring all trades booked to suspense / holding and average price accounts and ensure timely escalation.
You will play an important role in regulatory reporting, including submission of reports to SGX and MAS. You will also be responsible for investigating and resolving SGX breaks raised by our Sydney team.
Operational excellence is vital to our business and you will provide the highest level of operational support and service to the business. You will ensure that procedures are up to date and reviewed on a periodic basis. You will continuously review/monitor workflow and strive for efficiencies in time, costs and service levels. You will also be required to work on operations related projects and will need to be able to influence and manage stakeholders accordingly whilst driving projects through to completion.
You need to have extensive knowledge of SGX, SGX clearing & settlement systems, SGX exchange rules and SFA (MAS) regulations gained from working in a similar position for at least 5 years.
You will also need to have a strong control and process orientated mindset and be constantly aware of the regulatory framework in which we operate. You need to have good communication skills, happy to work with both senior stakeholders and support junior members of the team. Strong Excel skills (e.g. macros) and Access are required along with an excellent attention to detail.
This role could require shift work and work on public holidays. However, we facilitate a range of flexible working arrangements within our teams. Talk to us about what flexibility may be available.
