Editorial is a new and expanding function at Fidelity, which is evolving quickly to meet the needs of our clients around the world. We have a multidisciplinary team of writers and producers as well as the production team to run our two VR studios in London and Hong Kong.
Purpose of your role
As Europe editor, you will oversee a fast-growing team of writers at Fidelity's main regional hub in London and beyond. Alongside colleagues in London and Asia, you will set exacting standards in writing and producing by your own example: this is a senior writing role as much as management. You will report directly to the editor in chief and will be part of the editorial leadership team, shaping the future of editorial at one of the most successful asset managers in the world.
Regional responsibility for all written content: helping set the regional agenda, executing aspects of the global content strategy in Europe, identifying and responding to client needs.
Oversee editorial operations and practices in the region - within a matrix management environment.
Setting standards and ensuring they are met
Employ editorial engagement analytics
Champion Fidelity editorial internally and externally
Liaise with investment and distribution teams in Europe and RoW
Help train non-editorial team in best practice, elegant writing, pacey podcasts, flawless videos ...
Develop and coach editorial team
Experience and Qualifications Required
Deep understanding of investment, asset management and diverse client groups
Excellent written - and ideally multimedia experience
Creativity which can be turned into engaging content
Experience of running a multi-disciplinary team.
Familiarity with publishing tools and technology
Evidence of influencing continual innovation and improvement
