As a member of Morgan Stanley's Asset Management team, the individual will play an integral role working with all senior staff members in fulfilling specific property and/or portfolio level responsibilities. Responsibilities will focus on providing analytical support for the acquisition and asset management teams utilizing Argus, Argus Enterprise and Excel software.
Cash flow Analysis Sensitivity analyses Update quarterly cash flow models Perform quarterly asset valuations In-depth valuation and hold/sell analyses Review and assist in preparation of budgets and preparation of strategic plans Prepare quarterly fund reports Analyze and review leases Work directly with asset managers, leasing and property management team on approximately 30-35 assets Coordinate and review third-party independent appraisals as well as preparation of internal valuations Participate in ad hoc analyses on a regional basis Assist with acquisition and disposition due diligence and asset financings
0-1 year of real estate experience preferred
Strong analytical and financial skills
Strong working knowledge of cash flow modeling; Argus a plus
Knowledge of appraisal fundamentals a plus
Strong communication skills given the need to communicate effectively in oral and written form with senior management, property staff, colleagues and members of the real estate community
Ability to work within a team and under tight deadlines
High level of commitment, strong work ethic and positive attitude
