There are several aspects to this role:
Raising Newton's profile in the consultant channels by ensuring that our business and product entries are accurately completed, and regularly updated in a timely manner
Working with various teams throughout Newton to automate and process data in the most efficient way
Assisting with completion of tender responses with tight deadlines
Liaising with various colleagues and sometimes consultant to ensure that sales and product information is understood and available distribution channels
Liaison with various colleagues to maintain data feeds and assimilate/manipulate data
Accumulation and maintenance of a data library. Maintain/update data on assets and personnel for use in RFPs and presentations
Population of all required consultant databases, ensuring Newton is effectively represented
Working closely with the Sales and Consultant teams to ensure that they can exploit all sales opportunities
Supply data for fact sheets and presentation books, RFPs etc
Research and gather required information
Look at existing data processes and work towards creating more efficient, automated methods. Seek more efficient and accurate data collection and distribution
Pro-actively seek out new sources of data.
The successful candidate will be:
Degree level educated
Excellent Excel skills are crucial
IMC preferable (or a willingness to learn)
Detail orientated and analytical who can quickly learn investment mathematics and terminology
A self-starter who has strong communication and interpersonal skills
Flexible with good project management skills
Ability to work under pressure - especially when there are tight client deadlines and at month and quarter end
Good understanding of institutional investment markets, funds, equity and fixed income investment products.
