Our client, a Global Financial Institution is looking for a Senior Fixed Income Compliance Advisory Manager to provide advice and guidance to their Credit, Currency and Interest Rates businesses. The individual would help support the compliance function in identifying and mitigating risks across the FICC business and help promote a proactive compliance culture within the firm.
Promote effective compliance and oversight with legislation in relation to their fixed income business.
Develop and maintain compliance knowledge of current and future regulatory issues that affects the Fixed Income business.
Communicate with senior business management, risk management and Sales and Trading desk personnel regularly and address issues on a real-time basis.
Provide floor-based advisory compliance support to the Fixed Income business and other related areas within Global Banking and Markets.
Deal with issues and queries arising, review and sign-off new business proposals.
Review and sign-off new business proposals.
Develop policies, procedures and training.
Identify the regulatory issues impacting transaction authorisation, structuring, execution and marketing with the provision of potential solutions and alternatives.
Building and maintaining effective business partnerships within the Fixed Income business.
Provide interpretation of relevant rules, regulations, policies and procedures.
Provision of regulatory analysis and advice in relation to new products, business initiatives and bespoke projects.
Primary point of contact for other departments in relation to compliance matters in the UK and overseas jurisdictions as needed.
The preferred candidate will ideally have a markets and investment banking background and demonstrate an in-depth understanding of fixed income products. You should also possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills and be able to interact at all levels of business effectively.
