The Fixed Income Division (FID) is comprised of Interest Rate and Currency Products, Credit Products and Distribution. Professionals in the Division assess and actively manages risk, trade securities, and structure as well as execute innovative transactions in the fast-paced and constantly changing global markets. The Commodities Division is a market leader across a broad range of commodities markets, with expertise in areas including client risk management, financing solutions and investor products Sales & Trading.
This role reports to the Chief Operating Officer (COO) for EMEA Credit Complex. The successful person will work closely with all members of the COO Team, EMEA FID management team, including Desk Heads, colleagues in Finance, Operations and Technology. The role requires a keen interest in the strategy, trading and operations of the Fixed Income business and encompasses a large range of responsibilities.
Support the COO Team in driving business planning, business strategy and key priorities for the Business including resource utilization (Capital, Balance sheet and Liquidity)
Support the initiatives to drive improvements in PBT margin through monitoring of the expenses, analysis of large expense items and participation in multiple firm-wide initiatives for expense efficiency
Support the UK Large Transaction and Troika processes
Support the annual capital planning process (ICAAP), Solvent Wind Down including development of supporting documentation and management presentation materials
Assist in the preparation of the quarterly business reviews including coordination of management materials and financials
Prepare ad hoc analysis and presentations for the Credit Complex COO and senior management on performance metrics and initiatives
Skills required (essential)
A Bachelor's degree or equivalent.
Relevant experience and understanding Risk for Credit products, including greeks.
Strong understanding of Credit fundamentals and technical.
Excellent knowledge of MS Excel & PowerPoint required.
Excellent organisational and communication skills, verbal and presentations.
Strong analytical / problem solving skills.
Confident, self-starter, assertive and energetic.
