We are currently seeking a high caliber professional to join our team as Senior Manager, Financial Institutions and Funds Credit Risk Asia Pacific. Principal responsibilities
Support the Regional Head of Financial Institutions (FI) Credit Risk Asia Pacific in the leadership and day to day responsibilities of the FI Credit Risk Team
Provide strategic inputs to set the regional credit appetite for Financial Institutions (Banks, Sovereigns, Funds and Intragroup) counterparties, while supporting Asia Pacific Global Banking and Markets business growth
Promote greater connectivity and interaction between Risk and the business across regions and globally, by ensuring effective support and communications with regional sites (Chief Executive Officers, Chief Risk Officers, Treasurers), Regional Risk, Group Risk and Business Heads on major credit risk issues associated with Banks, Sovereigns, FI's and Funds client sectors
Provide approvals / endorsements for limit requests and transactions for all regional sites for Global Banking and Markets
Proactively monitor Banks, Sovereigns, Funds and other Non-Bank Financial Institution portfolio across the region ensuring appropriate management of deteriorating conditions in the portfolio and the factors influencing these circumstances, ensuring timely and appropriate dissemination of this information to Senior Management regionally and globally
Streamline and enhance the efficiency of credit approval policies and procedures related to Financial Institutions across the region
Lead project initiatives and papers touching on FI Credit Risk for Senior Management and the Business
Assist to implement Global Standards across the region to protect the integrity and reputation of the Group
Undergraduate or post-graduate degree in Business Administration, Finance or a related field
Extensive experience working in a bank or financial institution, preferably with prior experience of counterparty credit risk analysis
Team management skills are highly preferable but not essential
Working experience in a sophisticated investment bank with in-depth understanding in derivative valuations and exposure measurement principles
Good understanding across all Global Markets products and risk mitigation techniques
Good understanding of derivatives legal documentation
Ability to form effective relationships and achieve influence at the front office staff
Communication and interpersonal skills, including the capacity to articulate the case for risk management in the language of business
Understand and interpret complex business requirements
