We have an exciting opportunity for you to join the leadership team of Security Settlements Management Team. The North American Security Settlements team is a group of 35 employees and 12 additional vendor staff based off-shore.
The primary responsibility of Security Settlements is to execute on the settlement of Fixed Income and Equity Securities, manage firm deficits and overall inventory, minimize buy-in and regulatory risk, execute client asset transfers for FID, IED, BRM, and Prime Brokerage, manage segregation of client assets and partner with our vendor control team in TCS Guadalajara to deliver on our target operating model.
This director role in Security Settlements will be responsible for supervising and managing a team of 6 Full Time Employees managing a suite of settlements related functions supporting our US Government and Mortgage Backed Securities Businesses.
Responsibilities will include:
Supervision of Staff and associated functional and regulatory risks Developing product and process knowledge relating to daily responsibilities Effectively meeting daily deadlines as determined by specific responsibilities within department. Identifying and mitigating risk posed to the Firm through escalation to senior management Managing significant potential p&l exposure in claims eligible securities in high volume / high exposure markets Develop working relationships with peers and senior people in Trading, Support, IT, and Operations. Ensure internal control and external regulatory compliance policies and their impacts are understood and adhered to, i.e., segregation of duties, money-laundering rules, exchange deadlines, etc. Continuously look for business process improvements.
