A current opportunity exists for a corporate finance or consulting professional seeking a role within an industry leading, listed Australian corporate with strong growth potential, known for its commitment to family care , community engagement and investor value . The group has successfully executed a strong acquisition strategy over the past few years and you will take responsibility for the analysis and valuation of the performance of the group's portfolio of investments and assets.
Working closely with the Group Executive and senior leadership team, you will help drive a focus on IRR/Returns from all investments and provide strategic insight to the business to assist the success and growth of their portfolio. To that end, you will have responsibility and ownership for in-depth analysis, reporting and oversight of various investment models that will help the business execute on various strategic initiatives and projects. The role holder will be required to work closely with the business unit heads and therefore must be comfortable building strong working relationships across a broad spectrum of an organisation.
Candidates will have gained between 5 and 10 years' experience in corporate advisory from either management consulting, corporate advisory or a top tier CA firm. Candidates who have worked in an in-house M&A / corporate development role will also be considered. Strong deal experience coupled with an ability to partner with stakeholders at all levels of the business will be imperative for this role. Given the project-driven nature of the role, you will be working the business on a fixed-term contract for about 2 years with the view of extension beyond this.
