The Role: Lead the international cash management team with coverage of Europe, the Middle East and Africa (EMEA), as well as Asia Pacific (APAC) and India. Direct the team's monitoring, managing and forecasting of cash; recommend and implement global investment strategies and working capital initiatives; and oversee the management of banking structures. Create and execute the strategy for global cash repatriation, partnering closely with Accounting, Tax and Legal teams. This is a new role, reporting to Moody's Treasurer in New York, established to oversee Moody's EMEA, APAC and India cash management activities.
Ensure compliance with global rules, policies and controls for company's cash.
Oversee team managing daily operational cash management activities for EMEA, APAC and India. This includes, but not is limited to, daily cash positioning, investments, payments processing, back office settlement of FX trades and intercompany loans and recording/reconciliation of the same in the Treasury Management System ("TMS").
Development of investment strategies and procedures for EMEA, APAC and India cash.
Work with EMEA, APAC and India business units to forecast and meet their cash and financing needs, including the execution of intercompany loans and dividends as needed.
Standardize EMEA, APAC and India cash manager short-term cash flow forecasting workflows in collaboration with Americas cash management team and work with Treasury resources to automate within the TMS.
Standardize and automate EMEA, APAC and India long range cash flow forecast process for entity Board packages and intercompany dividends and loans.
Integrate banking operations and treasury-related processes of newly acquired or newly formed companies in EMEA, APAC and India.
Build and maintain efficient cash concentration structures for EMEA, APAC and India.
Oversee maintenance of EMEA, APAC and India bank account structure and recommend and implement strategies for efficiencies and rationalization given organic and inorganic growth.
Primary contact for EMEA, APAC and India bank account management and banking operations.
Create and execute strategy for global cash repatriation, partnering closely with regional and U.S. Accounting, Tax and Legal teams.
Provide regional Treasury support on technology initiatives such as implementation of new modules/structures within the TMS and other projects as appropriate.
Coordinate with controllers group and auditors to ensure that EMEA, APAC and India Treasury processes adhere to internal policies and controls, as well as Sarbanes-Oxley and other statutory requirements.
Develop and report metrics to measure and improve cash management activities for EMEA, APAC and India.
Manage a team of 7 to 10 EMEA, APAC and India treasury professionals.
Assist with special projects and ad hoc inquiries.
Minimum of undergraduate degree, preferably in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or other business discipline;
Excellent understanding of global banking network with a strong knowledge of regulatory and SOX compliance. CTP/AMCT credential strongly desired;
Significant relevant experience in treasury cash management role for large public multinational corporation / bank with experience in a managerial capacity;
Strong written and verbal communication and interpersonal skills. Successful candidates are able to communicate key ideas and initiatives;
Displays outstanding leadership skills; provides coaching, skills development, guidance and support to staff and direct reports located in multiple global locations;
In-depth experience with Reval or similar Treasury Management Workstation software;
Comfortable with both quantitative and qualitative analysis, able to leverage data to inform business decisions;
Demonstrated project management skills;
Ambitious, motivated, reliable, collaborative and team-oriented;
Operates with a sense of urgency, ability to work under tight and sometimes competing priorities;
Experience working with senior management and external auditors; and
Considerable supervisory experience for projects or functional teams.
