The Credit Portfolio Senior Manager for the Balance Consolidation (Balcon) team shares the responsibility of managing credit policy to drive sustainable growth within Risk Appetite for the Balance Growth channel.
Key Responsibilities: - Take ownership of the Balance Growth (Balcon) channel; manage Balcon programs and any new initiatives in close collaboration with internal Risk teams and cross-functional partners. - Perform vigorous analyses using analytical and statistical tools to identify gaps and opportunities for the channel, and to drive changes to credit policy to optimize risk-rewards tradeoff. - Develop and implement risk-assessment models or methodologies. - Synthesize information and data to resolve business problems with logical and practical solutions; apply mathematical or statistical techniques to address practical issues in risk management - Document/ensure communication of key risks, produce reports and presentations that outline findings, explain risk positions, or recommend changes - Present analytical findings and associated business implications to senior management.
Bachelors Degree required in statistics, mathematics, engineering, physics, economics, or related quantitative discipline
5+ years experience in risk management, financial services or relevant field
Experience with analytical or data manipulation tools (e.g. SAS, SQL, R, SPSS)
Proficient with MS Office suite
Excellent quantitative and analytic skills; ability to derive patterns, trends and insights, and perform risk/reward trade-off analysis
Ability to build effective presentations to communicate analytical findings to a wide array of audiences
Effective cross-functional project, resource, and stakeholder management; effectively engage with internal audit and external regulators
Experience with end-to-end project planning and management
Understanding of basic P&Ls of Cards business
Experience in business or risk modeling a plus
