The Impact Advisory and Finance (IAF) Department directs, headed by Marisa Drew, coordinates and facilitates all activities across the bank that lead to balanced finance and impact investing. The IAF Department oversee's these efforts globally and across all the divisions including IBCM, GM, IWM, SUB, and APAC.
MAIN DUTIES / RESPONSIBILITES
The IAF Department is looking for someone to help it manage its Risk & Controls globally and coordinate its support of the various divisions. A strong candidate will be able to work across the bank globally to create a first line risk framework for IAF and coordinate and interface with compliance and legal.
Typical responsibilities may include:
Working across departments and divisions to identify and catalogue standard methodologies within the firm
Develop a sound understanding of the businesses, policies, systems and processes
Implementing, monitoring and maintaining the control environment
Act as a central port of call between Compliance and Legal to ensure divisional and local policies are adhered to
Support the business in developing procedures around distribution of marketing material and creation of significant disclaimers
Leading and supplying to business controls projects, working across the appropriate teams to remediate any issues identified
Working with the broader compliance and legal group to ensure consistency, communication and alignment
Provide a central utility across 1st Line business divisions to lead the overall Controls Environment, monitoring activity and effectiveness.
Coordinate the Business/functional area leads in the dynamic risk profiling process and ongoing risk assessment of non-financial risk governance.
Lead MOUs with other divisions and provide a consistent means of partner concern and central co-ordination from business divisions to regional/division management
Handle risk exposure.
Working with key business partners in ensuring accurate definition of key risk areas and driving appropriate discussion of solution benefits and risks.
Handle new business policies with divisions.
Identification and resolution of conflicts of interest.
Effectively presenting information needed to facilitate decision-making.
Working with technical teams, business users, support teams to resolve solutions .
You Offer TECHNICAL / BUSINESS SKILLS & KNOWLEDGE
Familiarity with the risk and control landscape
Some understanding of basic legal documents such as NDAs and MOUs
Experience within either a Compliance, Ops risk or control focused COO role in an investment bank
Global experience with an ability to work across global teams and understand regional complexities
Ability to handle multiple priorities and challenges at a time
Excellent project management skills
Experience with leading longer term projects with multiple streams and incremental deadlines
Curiosity and ability to actively think ahead
An active results driven approach
A consistent track record in partnering with senior business executives
Ability to synthesize information from disparate sources
