The Role Responsibilities
Supervise and oversee the Unit functions
Invovle in the FMO CC migration activities under MMD plans and to ensure migration activites are properly monitored and governed and completed within the stipulated time frame
To manage, supervise and support Financial Market Operations Client Coverage Activities for both Conventional and Islamic Operations to meet required deadlines and quality standards to help business deliver their goals and targets whilst also satisfying customer requirements and expectations
Ensure timely, accurate and secure transaction processing in a controlled environment at minimum levels of cost and risk
Manage day to day issues / queries and resolve in a timely manner whilst providing feasible solutions
Ensure proper functioning of day to day controls, periodic monitoring activities, and timely resolution of operational risk issues
Managing risk and controls by cultivating stong risk and controls culture and embed them in BAU activities
Ensure desk instructions and manuals are upgraded regularly
Establish strong communication with the relevant stakeholders locally and globally to maintain good working relationships and quick resolution of any issues
Ensure Service Level Agreements are in place and are reviewed and updated to align with changing requirements
Ensure compliance with directives received from regulatory bodies
Ensure AML and Sanction policies are enforced withing area of responsibility
To drive and build strong teams via adequate training, engagement activities, team builing, performance development and empowerment
Participate in Group's driven initiatives, projects and cascade the aspiration to the team members
Our Ideal Candidate
Qualification & Experience
Degree, Advanced/Higher/Graduate Diploma in Finance/Accountancy/Banking or equivalent
At least 15 years of relevant experience in Financial Market Operations
Technical Skills & Knowledge
Product Knowledge - Expert
Product knowledge on OTC Derivatives (FX, Rates, Commodity and Credit), Fixed Income, FX, Money Market
Experience of working within treasury function in multiple areas, along with confirmations i.e. trade verification or matching or settlements. Knowledge of Paper and SWIFT confirmation mediums
Knowledge of ISDA terminology and definitions, benchmarks, Industry developments
