To assist the GSL Asia team in its day-to-day business activities that including:
i.) preparation of term sheet, industry content and analysis, pitch book together with shipping originators; ii.) lead the CA process in conjunction with local coverage team;
Develop an in-depth understanding of the shipping sector in Asia Pacific & Japan to assist GSL Industry risk and portfolio team to form a complete the global landscape so that global standardization could be achieved and maintained;
Share, lead and multiplied acquired industry knowledge with coverage teams on the ground and product partners in the region; &
Develop strong relationships internally with all stakeholders.

Take a leading role in supporting all new transaction approval & subsequent monitoring process in conjunction with the respective local coverage team and product partners that including:
i.) preparation of greenlight and all approval memos, financial and cashflow projection; execution of documentation, managing internal periodic credit processes in connection with Mumbai analytics team and local coverage team in ongoing credit monitoring in consultation with the shipping originators;
Develop and update analyses to support marketing activity, and coordinate with bankers on delivery of ongoing project work;
research and share industry content for thought pieces & newsletters on a regular and periodic basis;
preparation of credit comparable, vessel valuations, deal pipeline and other internal databases; &
Develop a strong relationship with in-country franchises, risk managers and product partners across APAC & Japan

Bachelor's degree (or equivalent experience);
Familiarity with Citi's credit risk policies preferred;
Mandarin speaking and Chinese reading would definitely benefit but not necessary;
