Service Ownership & Credit Risk Management
Actively support the implementation of the direction/objectives and participate in efforts to promote/identify a continuous improvement environment
Carry out the root cause analysis of issues and support issue resolution
Act as a point of contact with CBS (Cargill Business Services), Commercial and Legal to proactively determine an acceptable risk level for Cargill's customers portfolio and advise on risk mitigation options when required
Maintain and execute on existing risk mitigation solutions in place.
Provide ownership and input to ensure process optimization and Key Performance Indicators (KPI's) are in place necessary to deliver the service
Actively involved in the decision making around when to escalate on credit collections
Partner with the business to assess repayment plans and schedule agreements for customers to mitigate business losses
Support migration work to CBS for basic transactional finance activity
Support CBS finance teams to act, collaborate and partner to create one effective team;
Coordinate customer facing activities with local teams and CBS; Analyse, negotiate and resolve customer issues
Investigate metrics provided by CBS to help understand root cause and improve processes of Collections & Disputes, Credit and Hold & Release processes
Actively support identification and implementation of process simplification, standardization and improvement while proactively pursuing shared services optimization
Ensure commercial and finance teams are aware and current on contract law/ sales conditions and understand the legality related to insolvency of customers
Assist with managing compliance with Insurance program
Bachelor's Degree in Accounting or equivalent qualification a Master's Degree in Accounting/ Finance would be preferred
Proven experience in credit management
Knowledge of credit, collection and disputes, legislation and bankruptcy laws
Knowledge of tax legislation, accounting and treasury standards
ERP systems experience relating to credit management systems and SAP would be highly preferred
Knowledge of credit monitoring tools
Ability to communicate effectively and build collaborative relationships with stakeholders
Ability to manage multiple priorities in a demanding, fast paced, constantly changing environment
Expertise in financial analysis and risk assessment
Demonstrated ability to be able to create a culture of continuous improvement and process optimisation
Deep understanding of how end to end processes operate within a shared service environment, supported by industry benchmarked metrics/ KPI's
Excellent communication skills verbally and written in fluent English
