Our client is a leading Global Asset Management business which has the scale and presence to offer a range of investment capabilities to meet the needs of a diverse client base.
The UK is their most mature market and the Client Service team provide a service to Discretionary and Advisory clients who are operating in the Wholesale market. These clients may be invested in pooled or alternative investment strategies.
The Client Manager acts as the single point of contact for client queries and ensures that client requests are dealt with in a timely, proactive, value-add and accurate way.
Some of the duties of the Wholesale Client Manager – Asset Management will include:
Managing and responding to client queries in a professional manner
Proactively communicating with clients and arranging client service review meetings as required Working effectively internally to ensure client needs are met
Taking responsibility for client lifecycle events including take-ons, change or terminations Managing client documentation (IMAs, Distribution Agreements) Overseeing client reporting and invoicing
Maintenance of CRM and logging of breaches and complaints Working closely with Client Directors to ensure they are briefed on all client activity
Working closely with Client Directors/Relationship Managers to share information and keep them briefed on relevant client activity.
Build and maintain effective working relationships with colleagues in the wider Distribution department to ensure client expectations are being met.
Understanding investment challenges, the impact of regulatory changes and internal operational requirements to ensure informed discussion with clients.
The ideal background of the Wholesale Client Manager – Asset Management:
Proven track record in Wholesale client relationship management and/or servicing is essential
Notable experience of client servicing environments within asset management
Solid understanding of investment markets, instruments and economics.
Understanding of segregated and pooled account structures and client relationships.
Professional qualifications such as the CFA or IMC would be advantageous
