The J.P Morgan Energy and Natural Resources Group (Oil & Gas, Metals & Mining and Utilities) Corporate Finance team is composed of a team of professionals with very strong client relationships across a broad range of leading companies. Our Investment Banking groups are organized to provide product, industry sector or country expertise to our clients. These teams collaborate to provide a variety of products to clients in each sector. The team members become experts in their product, industry sector or country.
Key responsibilities As an Investment Banking Vice President, your responsibilities may include, but are not limited to:
Supporting day-to-day management of projects:
Liaise with the relevant counterparts at the client and other advisers (accounting, legal etc.)
Coordinate project deliverables and due diligence with other advisers
Leading and reviewing detailed valuation analysis, including DCF, trading comparables, transaction comparables and LBO analysis
Leading and reviewing detailed M&A, transaction structuring and other financial analysis
Preparing pitch books, board materials, memoranda, and other presentation materials for use in transactions or strategic client dialogue
Liaising with other team members, industry coverage bankers and other product partners to deliver the firm to our clients
Interaction with senior team members and client management teams on a daily basis to execute transactions and discuss strategic alternatives
Strong understanding of investment banking products
Ability to comfortably interact with clients and people in a professional and mature manner
Team player with strong academic background
Disciplined and self-motived with a strong work ethic
Strong project management and organizational skills
Ability to react well to pressure whilst multitasking on numerous projects
Highly proficient in MS office applications, profound knowledge of customary investment banking databases (FactSet, Bloomberg, etc.)
Experience in acquisition & leveraged finance is a plus
This role encompasses the performance of regulated activity. The successful candidate will therefore be subject to meeting regulatory requirements in the assessment of fitness, propriety, knowledge and competence (as assessed by the Firm) and (where appropriate) approval by the relevant regulatory authorities to carry out such activities.
