Our client, a Global Financial Institution is looking for a Financial Crime Intelligence Officer to provide advice and guidance to their businesses globally. The individual would help in identifying and mitigating risks across the businesses and promote a proactive regulatory culture.
Support the identification, acquisition and analysis of any relevant data to assess and prevent financial crime and reputational risk.
Work closely with senior management to mitigate existing and possible risks in relation to financial intelligence gathering.
Develop and maintain business intelligence functions group-wide.
Liaise with Compliance & IT teams to ensure optimum data management and support.
Report concerns and status of financial crime risk to senior management.
Proactively engage in the monitoring, identification, research, analysis, investigation and follow-up of suspicious activity.
Conduct ongoing assessments which identify potential internal and external risks.
Manage sensitive data across borders and ensure compliance with up-to-date regulations.
Develop and maintain procedures and controls to mitigate any identified risks in a timely manner.
Support the business in the management of the financial intelligence data.
Escalate any issues to senior management and relevant local or international stakeholders.
Identify and mitigate any control failures related to data gathering across the business.
Stay abreast of changes in financial crime regulations to assess its impact on the business.
Ensure appropriate and timey follow-up of identified issues.
The successful candidate will ideally have a financial services or consultancy background and demonstrate in-depth knowledge of data analytics for intelligence as well as sound IT skills and strong knowledge of financial crime related risks. You should also possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills and be able to interact at all levels of business effectively.
