Growing institutional investment consulting firm in Northern Virginia is seeking a Junior Investment Consultant to join our investment management team. This role will work with our institutional client base of corporations, 501(c )3 organizations, higher education, and retirement plans. This is a unique opportunity to train with the Senior Investment Consultant, the Director of Research and the Business Development Officer, as we continue to grow our institutional division and our private client assets.
The job responsibilities include:
Communication, reporting and service tasks for clients
Primary point of contact for client requests
Resolve issues, and monitor policies and procedures that are specific to each client Special analytical projects requested by client (i.e. quarterly donor reports, writing executive summaries, target return analyses, index data requests, etc.)
Submit trades (as the portfolio manager) in response to clients' cash flow needs and to implement the decisions made by the Mason investment committee
Prepare for and often attend quarterly investment committee meetings of institutional clients
Assist with research, data requests, and presentations (creating slides, pitchbook updates, expense ratio requests, etc.)
Draft and maintain client Investment Policy Statements
Oversee the transition of new clients
Participate in internal investment committee meetings, Mason investment management services meetings, quarterly deliverables meetings, and Senior Investment Consultant Meetings
Minimum requirements: Bachelor's degree in business, accounting or finance. MBA or CFA preferred; 1-4 years' experience in a RIA or brokerage firm environment is also preferred along with current RIA/FINRA licensing. Proficient in Microsoft Office.
