The business is a growing buy-side investment management firm serving institutional clients with more than $19B in assets under management in equity products. The firm is focused on institutional Small and Mid Cap Growth Equities products and is located in New York City.
The Junior Equity Analyst will assist in the research process, working closely with the firm's senior analysts and portfolio managers in making investment recommendations. The analyst will also provide backup support to other areas of investment operations.
Updating/maintaining proprietary financial models
Reading, analyzing and summarizing SEC filings
Creating new financial models and maintaining comparable spreadsheets
Participation in due diligence meetings
Research in various industries and miscellaneous projects
Review and prepare reports using markets data services (e.g., FactSet, Bloomberg, Reuters)
One to two years of equity research or investment banking experience required
Must have strong understanding of accounting and financial statements
Must be self-motivated and able to work independently
Professional demeanor and ability to work well in a fast paced environment
