You will take personal responsibility for a portfolio of Mid-Market Corporate & Commercial customers in preparing applications and working closely with the respective Relationship Directors to prepare a balanced credit application, you will make that difference. Your work will also involve the assessment of new to bank opportunities, where you will always meet the prospective customer and your input to the process and recommendation will be fundamental to both the customer's and the bank's relationship.

As a Credit Partner your main responsibilities will be
Advising and being consulted by fellow Credit Partners on applications with a significant Trade Finance element.
Making recommendations and ultimately, presenting to the appropriate credit approval committee
Undertaking effective on-going portfolio management, including covenant compliance
Exercising personal delegated authority where possible
Preparing quality credit proposals jointly with Relationship Directors ensuring that all the relevant financial and non- financial aspects are considered, resulting in all the respective credit risks being identified and suitably mitigated
Presenting credit applications to the respective credit approval committee, providing an independent, balanced view of the credit risks and proposing a course of action whilst assisting the business in the achievement of its financial targets and portfolio management through providing guidance and advice on trade finance structuring and risk mitigation
Minimum skills and experience required
Proven experience in building working relationships which will include customers as well as Risk colleagues, Relationship Directors and support teams (including product partners)
Ability to communicate, both orally and in written form, in a confident, articulate, structured and coherent manner
Demonstrable exposure to the UK Corporate & Commercial banking sector and a sound understanding of bilateral or club and syndicated type facilities
Excellent credit analysis skills with a sound understanding of financial forecasting methodology and credit rating interpretation along with strong attention to detail
Extensive experience in international trade risk products and the end to end international trade working capital cycle
