The Financing Coverage Group ("FCG") within the Investment Banking Division in New York is looking for an Analyst with current 1 - 2 years of banking (or related) experience to join the team.
Investment Banking Division Our division works on some of the most complex financing challenges and transactions in the market today and is a key component of the firm's commitment to footprint and revenue expansion. From providing a unique financing or risk management solution to structuring an initial public offering, we handle projects that help clients at major milestones. The Financing Coverage Group focuses on un-covered or under-covered clients with $1-3bn market capitalization where there is a high likelihood of an equity or debt financing or structured transaction to occur in the next few years. The FCG Team focuses on clients within four primary industry verticals: Technology, Media, and Telecom, Industrials and Natural Resources, Healthcare and Consumer Retail, and Financial Institutions and Real Estate. Coverage will be holistic, focusing on industry and sector trends in addition to general financing market trends in a product agnostic fashion.

Role Responsibilities You will take part in analyzing companies and creating content / pitch materials You will perform market analysis and historical influence to advise clients on corporate finance solutions You will utilize your technical and analytical skills in delivering Goldman Sachs products to potential clients You utilize and develop direct client interaction and coverage skills
SKILLS & EXPERIENCE WE'RE LOOKING FOR
Bachelor's degree and at least 1 years' relevant work experience
Exceptional communication skills, both verbal and written
Strong analytical orientation, with experience performing financial and valuation analysis in Excel or comparable spread sheet tools
Strong corporate finance background
Creative thinker with ability to proactively generate ideas
Desire to gain direct client coverage experience
Experience within Technology or Industrials sectors
Demonstrated interest in finance, companies, transactions and financial markets
Demonstrated independence and leadership within the workspace
Ability to successfully interact with clients
Ability to create and pitch content
