The Price Management (PM) organization is an essential component in delivering profitable growth for Citi's North American card business. The team develops Cards pricing policy and programs to enhance the customer experience, drive portfolio profitability and ensure regulatory compliance. The team comprises analytical expertise, project execution, and oversight of customer communications and disclosures. Position Objective:
The Pricing Business Analytics Group Manager is a high visibility leadership role that will head a team of technical analysts in the U.S. This leader will be directly accountable for 1) leading and developing an analytics team for Citi Branded Cards 2) designing and improving overall analytics strategy 3) ensuring projects are implemented in a timely manner with flawless execution. The role requires thoughtful and precise independent leadership across the Price Management analytics team, other key stakeholders within Price Management, Cards Risk as well as Brand Business Partners within and outside of U.S. Key Responsibilities:
Develop comprehensive pricing policy recommendations based on multiple factors such as in-depth customer insights (analytically derived), sound financial forecasting and a thorough understanding of competitive landscape
Drive innovative thinking for leveraging new tools/methods that will transform the analytical capability of the organization
Directly manage small team of onshore and offshore resources ensuring appropriate balance of ad hoc workload while establishing strategy for delivering recurring analytics
Act as the point of contact for Credit Card regulatory implications and mitigation / opportunity strategies
Ensure robust quality control in the analytical processes and lead the analytical required components during Internal Audit, Compliance Testing and external regulatory audits
Provide cross functional leadership (communication and influencing) to drive towards common goal
Advanced degree in quantitative discipline strongly preferred. (Masters or above in fields including but not limited to: Economics, Statistics, Operations Research, Mathematics)
5-10 years of analytical work experience in financial services strongly preferred, market research experience a plus
Experience with P&L management, financial analysis and data manipulation techniques, ideally SAS and/or SQL
Superb ability in strategic thinking and the ability to frame business problems
Strong analytical, technical and/or statistical skills with proven ability to translate large volumes of data into meaningful information and actions
A strong collaborator with a demonstrated ability to influence broadly and challenge conventional thinking. An influencer who communicates clearly and frequently to both technical analysts and non-technical business leaders
Excellent communication skills and ability to work with senior management required
