Source and develop infrastructure investment opportunities in Australia / NZ as well as assisting with origination efforts in Asia more broadly.
Manage quantitative and qualitative due diligence workstreams (commercial, financial, legal, tax etc) on prospective infrastructure investments, effectively supporting the deal leader on due diligence and negotiating legal documentation.
Prepare investment memoranda for, and attend Investment Committee meetings on a regular basis
Initiate and participate in calls and visits with current and prospective intermediaries, developers, deal sponsors and operating partners as well as on-site visits, management meetings etc
Conduct various tasks related to product reporting, monitoring investments, market research, internal requests, and marketing efforts
Support the value creation efforts for existing investments in collaboration with internal asset management resources and portfolio company management teams
Being responsible for and mentoring junior investment professionals
Top academic credentials (Master's/MBA/CFA preferred), with a coursework emphasis on Finance, Economics, law and/or Engineering
At least 5 to 7 years of relevant work experience in the infrastructure market with a leading player, preferably in Asia
Excellent analytical, interpersonal and communication skills and a strong desire to learn and succeed
Thorough knowledge of Word and Excel (modelling skills required) and the ability to conduct independent research
Be proactive on assignments/projects and demonstrate initiative
Able to complete projects on time and accurately and be able to multi-task
Fluency in oral/written English essential
