My client are an exciting Edinburgh Fintech start up that specialises in funding solutions. Their ever expanding portfolio of clients span a range of sectors from property to renewable energy.
The Head of Compliance will be responsible for all Compliance activity associated with the business. This is a truly unique role, in which the successful applicant will drive not only the internal improvement of existing process, but be responsible for how the business continues to successfully offer Compliance services to external clients and how ongoing monitoring and support is provided to each of those clients.
Managing and building a growing team (currently 4), the role will involve contributing towards the outputs on a day to day basis of the team. A crucial aspect of the role includes helping to set priorities for the week based on what the immediate business needs are but with an eye to achieving longer term goals.
The successful candidate for the Head of Compliance position will have the follow experience and personal qualities:
Held a senior FCA regulated position in another Financial Services organisation
An open, solutions-orientated individual who has a track record of delivering solutions for stakeholders
Understands the business objectives of the business and it's Compliance function
Experience in managing a team and delegating workload effectively to others within the business
Adaptable to an ever-evolving, start-up environment
Experience in drafting Compliance Board reports, Monitoring Programmes and Training Programmes
Strong stakeholder management with external parties to work with them on all compliance matters.
The successful Head of Compliance applicant will be joining a high growth company, in a high growth sector.

The role will offer up to £70,000pa basic salary, along with 33 days annual leave per year.
