My client is a boutique (less than 15 person) wealth management and financial planning firm who pride themselves on the relationships that they have built with their local client base over the past 30 years. Their traditional, family orientated approach to business has allowed them to maintain positive momentum over the past 30 years and in line with anticipated growth, they are in search of a new member of their advisory team.
The investment advisor will report into one of the current Vice Presidents. The position requires superior skills in interacting with clients, prospects and service providers. The Investment Advisor will also be expected to take the initiative in seeing to completion critical operational and administrative tasks, and to assist with special projects. Main duties and responsibilities will include the following:
Review and process outstanding client applications, transfer requests and other account changes under supervision
Complete and process electronic and paper documents related to new investment accounts and insurance applications, changes to investment accounts, and client distribution requests.
Communicate with service providers, e.g., account custodians, insurance carriers and vendors
Complete administrative functions related to various aspects of investment servicing
Review documents on a regular basis to ensure integrity and completeness of data
Monitor status of new accounts and paperwork processing
Track, report and follow up on outstanding account paperwork
Communicate with clients to gather information about their immediate financial situation and long-term financial objectives
Service in-bound calls relating to withdrawals, account inquiries, and service issues
Input notes from all client interactions in Customer Relationship Management system
Assist with bi-monthly marketing and client service events
Ad-hoc projects and requests as needed

In return for a competitive remuneration package, the successful candidate will posses the following:
Bachelor's Degree (non-negotiable)
5+ years of experience in the financial services industry (non-negotiable)
Series 65 required (non-negotiable)
Insurance license a plus
Ability to work 9:30am/ 10:30am until 6:00pm
Ability to travel to two other office locations occasionally, to meet with clients - also outskirts of Boston
Appetite to work hard and do whatever it takes to keep clients happy
Ability to be present on evenings for client events (very occasionally)
A self-starter who is assertive and can work independently and as part of a team.
Milton, MA home office location
Base salary of between $ 60,000 and $70,000
Performance related bonus scheme
4% match on 401K contribution
Medical coverage (paid 100% by employer, up to $ 4,000 per year)
