This sought-after position offers an excellent opportunity for you to join our Operational Risk Management team, in London. You will be able to apply your risk skills and experience to implement and further develop our Operational Risk strategy. Your role as Operational Risk Manager will be to facilitate the continued improvement in operational risk management and culture across the Group, through the continual refinement and implementation of the Operational Risk Management Framework. You will be heavily involved with the coordinating and central force for operational risk across the Group and must have a confident view on the risk profile of all our businesses.
You will be responsible for understanding the business risk profile and key processes and where appropriate, act as a catalyst for change, as well as review and challenge business risk reporting, assessments, incidents, key risk indicators, change proposals, projects and assurance activities. In addition, you will be responsible for a diverse range of business risk management tasks, allowing the group to implement and optimise the risk framework and initiatives. You will also need to provide continuous updates, insights and respond to requests from various stakeholders including regulators, auditors and senior management.
You are an experienced Operational Risk Manager with 5+ years' experience and have significant Operational Risk, Internal or External Audit experience gained within an international financial institution or financial services firm. In addition, you will bring experience working with corporate advisory, M&A, debt, equity and private capital markets, or principal investing businesses, and have knowledge of the regulatory environment in which Macquarie operates. You are a confident communicator, possessing strength of character to discuss risk management issues openly and with conviction , and able to work independently as well as collaboratively within a global matrixed organisation. You will hold a tertiary degree in Finance or a related area, and further postgraduate degrees or professional qualifications (CA, CFA, CPA) are desirable, but not essential.
