The Quantitative Associate is a critical addition to Green Street's European team at this stage in the Company's development. The opportunity exists for a highly-motivated individual to develop our quantitative offering as the business matures as an established entity in Europe. It is also envisaged that this individual will develop a deep expertise of advanced statistical methods, database management techniques, coding and macro-economic forecasting.
This is an ideal role for candidates with a quantitative background that is comfortable with greenfield development and offers the opportunity to help shape the business as we grow.
Duties & Responsibilities:
Using SQL to load, manipulate and maintain large quantities of data in our proprietary databases
Developing innovative approaches to sourcing and cleaning data to produce meaningful insights
Automating manual processes with VBA, Python and/or R
Collaborating with our Research Analysts on a wide variety of quantitative projects inlcuding data collection statistical analysis, graphical analysis and report building
Using visualization software to discover patterns in complex data sets
Providing efficient and courteous quantitative support to our clients
Explaining methodologies, reproducing data and compiling source data
We are highly selective - candidates should possess the following:
Bachelor's degree in a quantitative discipline
Commercially orientated, entrepreneurial attitude
Exceptional communications, project management, and interpersonal skills with the ability to engage at all levels across a global business
Knowledge of the Financial Services sector preferred
Strong analytical skills, attention to detail and initiative
Strong command of Microsoft office, Excel-VBA and SQL
Knowledge of a scripting language (e.g. Python or R) is required
