We have a fantastic opportunity for a junior COO to join a large American investment bank based in London, paying up to £400 per day for a 6 month rolling contract.
The person will work closely with all members of the COO Team, EMEA FID management team, including Desk Heads, colleagues in Finance, Operations and Technology. The role requires a keen interest in the strategy, trading and operations of the Fixed Income business and encompasses a large range of responsibilities.
The role activities include:
Support the COO Team in driving business planning, business strategy and key priorities for the Business including resource utilization (Capital, Balance sheet and Liquidity)
Support the initiatives to drive improvements in PBT margin such as expense programme through monitoring of the expenses, analysis of large expense items and participation in multiple firm-wide initiatives for expense efficiency
Support the UK Large Transaction and Troika processes
Assist in the preparation of the quarterly business reviews including coordination of management materials and financials
Prepare ad hoc analysis and presentations for the Credit Complex COO and senior management on performance metrics and initiatives
Assist business with monitoring of risk limits
Technical skills required:
Strong analytical / problem solving skills
Good understanding of Risk for Credit products, including greeks
Good understanding of Credit fundamentals and technicals
Excellent knowledge of excel required
Excellent communication skills, verbal and presentations
Good organisation skills
Confident, self-starter, assertive and energetic
