We have an exciting opportunity for a Compliance Manager to join our team. The role is based in Milton Keynes.
In this role you will provide a full range of compliance advice and guidance on regulatory and supervisory requirements to reduce regulatory risk. This will be with a primary focus on financial promotions, ensuring that our promotions/promotional activity meets with regulatory and relevant advertising rules, codes and principles.

As a Compliance Manager your main responsibilities will be to
Maintain up-to-date knowledge and understanding of the regulatory environment and external trends (possibly through liaising with external parties). Assess the impacts of regulatory change and communicate /ensure stakeholders made aware of changes required. Develop original and pragmatic solutions to issues arising and to communicate these to the business. Work closely with the internal stakeholders to identify and solve regulatory issues and ensure that regulatory requirements are being met or escalated as appropriate.
Manage relationships with business stakeholders to ensure a timely, high quality integrated service is provided and in order to ensure that businesses understand compliance requirements and act upon recommendations as appropriate.
Act as the Compliance lead on key projects and initiatives, or as a support to other team members (as required).
Implement and deliver policies, guidelines and procedures within the scope of responsibility, reviewing their quality and efficiency, and formulating recommendations for improvements that meet best practice and business objectives. Assess, establish and monitor the effectiveness of initiatives that will produce significant business improvements
As a senior team member, support in the management of the team and wider Compliance function, ensuring appropriate cross working and provision of a high quality Compliance service
Minimum skills and experience required
A qualification as a regulatory solicitor/lawyer and/or extensive experience in a regulatory environment is preferable (including regulatory qualifications), with understanding of the business and financial services industry. Sound knowledge of regulation, legislation and codes generally and relevant to promotional activity in particular. .
Knowledge and experience of applying business process improvements and performance management techniques.
Ability to analyse and evaluate issues, and sound judgement to determine appropriate actions/solutions.
Strong proactive, communicative, pragmatic and methodical approach, taking ownership for issues within compliance.
