As a member of our Infrastructure Support team, you'll immediately put your love of technology into action. Each day, you and your team will be responsible for making sure our platforms, servers and networks are online and secure. You'll work together, evaluating, selecting, implementing, integrating, maintaining, upgrading, documenting and designing our infrastructure. You'll find new and creative solutions to troubleshoot and resolve issues. Communication is key, both in problem solving with your supervisors and collaborating with your coworkers, as well as other teams in the network. This role requires a wide variety of strengths and capabilities, including: Ability to articulate and share clear, concise complex technical findings to management in understandable terms
Maintains proficiency in these key areas: o Hardware Architecture (performance testing, monitoring, operations) o Hardware Benchmarking (Agile, program managements, network management) o Design (compliance, security) o Must be eager and able to take ownership of issues or actions as-needed and drive to resolution across a complex, global enterprise environment.
UNIX Security Engineer (SRE/DevOps)
Proficiency in more than one specific infrastructure technology
Ability to execute with understanding of best practices and JPMC policies top of mind
Ability to collaborate with high-performing teams and individuals throughout the firm to accomplish common goals
Ensure process, procedures and controls are auditable, with risk management embedded into all aspects of operations TECHNICAL QUALIFICATION
Required: 10+ years of hands-on Linux/Unix systems operations, engineering and/or architecture, preferred is some portion of that experience in a large and/or global estate.
Required: 2+ years hands-on experience Perl, Python or Shell-scripting
Required: Strong interpersonal / written and oral communication skills - ability to foster / maintain relationships with other technical teams and management.
Required: 4+ years hands on technical experience with FoxT's Keon / Boks, Power Broker or enterprise class UNIX security/authentication products in a large global enterprise environment.
ideal: 4+ years of hands-on Unix directory services such as LDAP operations & support of functional use of the LDAP data
Ideal: 2+ years in Dev/Ops or SRE-team with capability to leverage development skills
Structured approach to problem solving in a dynamic, mission critical environment of a large global organization.
Good team player skills, self-starter and high attention to detail
Understanding of backup process, system monitoring, performance tuning, disaster recovery, and scripting for Linux based operating systems or business applications running atop a Linux OS.
