The Role Responsibilities A primary feature of the role is variety.Working primarily with the Head of Audit Germany, the role is to deliver audits, with minimal supervision covering all businesses and activities (front office, back office and functions) of the new German subsidiary.The role will also leverage the wide range of specialist functional audit skills and experience available from the broader Group Internal Audit function.The role is required to adapt to business needs and may, periodically, involve supporting audits outside of Germany.. Risk and Controls professional with ideally a recognised Audit qualification.
·Proven ability to successfully deliver audits in financial services, in one or more of the following businesses and products Human Resources;
·Experience of conducting successful audits across three or more of the following businesses and products: Finance, Treasury, Compliance, Risk, Corporate Banking, Transaction Banking, Financial Markets, Private Banking, IT and Operations, HR, Corporate Affairs, Brand and Marketing; Legal, Shared Investigation Services; Corporate Secretariat /Governance and Reputational Risk Management.
·Proven strong stakeholder management skills to include an ability to build effective relationships and to constructively challenge senior leaders at Managing Director, and Vice President level (SCB Band 3 to Grade 5)
·Preferred experience of delivering audits in Germany.
·Flexibility to undertake required business travel to SCB locations across the Europe region (estimated to be approximately two trips per annum of between one to three weeks duration) and possible occasional travel to SCB locations globally, as required.
·Ability to influence and to lead and work collaboratively across teams
·Excellent communication skills, written and verbal in both English and German
·Demonstrated ability to work independently and seek guidance when needed.
·Flexible and adaptive, and able to change priorities at short notice to meet regional and global workload demands.
