Leading the finance agenda for China Securities Company, the Chief Finance Officer / Senior Financial Officer "CFO/SFO" role is responsible for reporting location financial results to senior management including the Senior Country Officer "SCO" and Senior Country Business Manager "SCBM", the Location Finance Team, including corporate submission and local regulatory reporting responsibilities, in addition to working closely with the Business Controllers to ensure optimal management of the control environment across both Corporate Investment Bank "CIB" and non CIB lines of business in the entity. The CFO/SFO is expected to anticipate financial implications of new business developments and changes in the regulatory framework of both locations, and to be aware of the business strategy of the line of businesses and understand the local markets constraints and opportunities for doing business.

Key Responsibilities Financial Control and & Regulatory Relationships
Key member of the management and committees where applicable, such as Management Committee, Operating Committee, Asset and Liability Committee, Balance Sheet Committee, Local Regulatory reporting Committee
Manage the relationship with local regulators including CSRC, PBOC, SAFE and others Directorship of the entity, in addition to sitting on local governance committees
Responsible for financial statutory filings
Maintain oversight of the LE structure and partner with Compliance to ensure business use of legal entities is appropriate
Review location metrics to ensure effectiveness of the control environment
Maintain capital adequacy and local regulatory ratios for the entity
Manage the local regulatory reporting and oversee corporate reporting
Serve as key contact for external auditors, managing the preparation and support for external financial statement audits
Liaise with the tax function to ensure support is provided in completion of tax reporting
Business Management & Controls
Present and analyse financial information for the entity
Escalation point to Regional Controller and Business Controller for identified issues
Partner with Finance Infrastructure to ensure appropriateness of local financial systems infrastructure
Coordinate implementation of new financial systems and change management
Manage a team of 3 in the entity, in addition to oversight of the dedicated corporate reporting teams in Bangalore, specifically in relation to work allocation, training, problem resolution, performance evaluation and building an effective and positive team dynamic
Strong accounting background including both management and financial experience
Solid knowledge of PRC accounting standards and local banking and securities regulations, particularly pertaining to Securities Companies
Advanced communication skills required for regular communications with management and support areas in China and offshore (includes Asia, Europe and US)
Advanced analytical skills required to provide commentaries, detailed analysis and recommendations to businesses
Proactive approach is required to ensure timely resolution of issues and implementation of system and procedural improvements
Sound understanding of securities business and products is required
Ability to work efficiently and effectively with a variety of teams is essential including teams within and outside the Finance Area
Advanced leadership and management skills
Key Qualifications and Experience:
A minimum of 10-12 years relevant working experience
English and Mandarin - Fluent communication (both verbal and written)
