We are currently seeking a high caliber professional to join our team as Regional Senior Capital Project Manager .
As a technical expert of Capital Projects, plan, drive and manage the respective sub functional area of Corporate Real Estate across the region
Lead and manage the regional relationships with the suppliers providing clarity on roles and responsibilities and acting as the main point of escalation for activities at a country level to maintain performance standards
In partnership with the supplier, ensures any underperformance is addressed at a regional level to ensure no negative impact on the business
Where appropriate, investigate and support initiatives at a regional and country level
Proactively managing internal stakeholders offering solutions to their needs
Develop and maintain long term relationships with the suppliers and work in collaboration to improve service, risk and cost
Using your technical knowledge, create strong working relationship within all teams within Global Corporate Real Estate
Ensure all contracts in country are managed by the global suppliers or aligned to the or Corporate Real Estate blueprint to avoid duplication of effort
Ensure compliance with all country's legislation within region in relation to the function and single point of escalation for exceptional performance problems
Ensure adherence across region of all global policies and standard operating procedures. Adequate local policies exist where different to Global Standard Operating Procedures and contract arrangements
Implement a framework and processes for monitoring and reporting the performance and cost of the function across country
Professional qualification in a Project Management discipline or a relevant equivalent
Deep expertise and understanding of a broad range of Real Estate Supplier activities and issues faced by large corporates
Sound understanding of how banks operate and the key challenges faced in the operative environment
Strong expertise and knowledge in relation to Supplier Management and or technical expertise in a real estate context
Significant experience in managing Corporate Real Estate activities at country and regional levels
Demonstrated ability to successfully manage multiple projects of timely and quality results in different geographies
Demonstrated results in delivering successful risk management and control processes
Sound working knowledge of Real Estate technology platforms for planning, analysis and decision making.
Experience in transformation and deployment of outsourcing and technology
Demonstrated results in managing Suppliers and Supplier or stakeholder issues
Proven ability to prioritise competing demands and handle ambiguity
Excellent interpersonal, communication and people management skills
Excellent organisational, planning and project management skills
Strong commerciality on supplier relationship management and expertise to balance costs, meet customer demands and Corporate Real Estate requirements to a high standard
Ability to engage and influence senior executives of the Bank at global, regional and country level
Role model and advocate for HSBC acting at all times in a way that complies with the Banks code of conduct, ethics and stance on bribery
Ability to grasp, understand and independently handle new projects and ideas
