The Business Join NatWest Markets in London as an Exotic Trade Review Analyst
This role will see you controlling and supporting the trading activity of our front office by reviewing trades against the prescribed documentation, and ensuring that trades are booked to agreed standards

What you'll do
We'll look to you to review exotic trades, ensuring all are booked in line with the NatWest Markets product taxonomy, and maintain required governance of the taxonomy rules. You'll also highlight deviations from standard practice to enhance consistency and control. Recognised as a primary point of contact for a wide range of stakeholders, you'll provide expertise and solutions to queries.
As well as this, you'll:
Review new business approvals in line with BTTAP policy
Help to coordinate Proxy Reviews amongst front office, middle office, Finance and other Risk functions
Monitor trades unclassified in the NatWest Markets product taxonomy, investigating root cause of breaks, and following through to resolution
Implement changes to the taxonomy rules in line with approved operating models and governance controls
Identify any potential operational risk that may arise from trade booking
The skills you'll need
We are looking for somebody with an analytical and diligent mind set, and excellent communication skills, able to work with a wide range of stakeholders. Your remit will cover a broad range of products and asset classes, so the ability to learn quickly with a flexible approach is also required.
Along with an understanding of the mechanics of structured derivatives and hedging products, you'll have the ability to get to the root cause of issues and drive them through to resolution. You'll also be highly numerical with astute attention to detail.
In addition to this, you'll demonstrate:
An understanding of the front to back trade lifecycle
A solid grasp of relevant documentation, including ISDA definitions
The ability to understand exotic and vanilla derivative products
A proactive approach, and the ability to ask probing questions in order to gather relevant information to resolve issues and ensure robust controls are maintained
