To perform various functions pertaining to the creation of new products with the overall goal of ensuring that the products are successfully designed, priced, positioned, launched, promoted and supported in a way that will generate sales and lead to increased and profitable assets under management
To oversee the product development process from idea to launch and works closely with investment manager, product sponsor, fund administrator and other relevant functions to identify and address all issues that must be resolved before a successful product launch can occur
Duties & Responsibilities
Conduct research on market trend, market intelligence (i.e. what peers and distributors are doing) and new product opportunities
Provide prompt and appropriate responses to comments and inquiries with regards to products by regulatory authorities
Provide supported opinions regarding success potential and overall positioning within the asset management industry and the framework of existing product strategies
Coordinate product launch projects; work with internal partners including legal and compliance, investment teams and operations, and with external service providers, Exchange and regulators
Ensure application materials and service agreements are fully complied with global standards, legal requirements, brand and company image with high qualities
Manage existing products' legal documents and produce supported opinions regarding product strategies.
Bachelor's Degree in Finance or equivalent discipline
At least 5 years' experience in product development within asset management industry or in financial regulatory authorities
Familiarity with Hong Kong, US, Cayman and UCITS fund rules; familiarity with QDII,QFII,RQFII policies in China will be a plus
Knowledge across a broad spectrum of investment capabilities including equity, fixed income, and multi-asset products
Strong analytical skills and marketing sense.
Good communication and solid project management skills
