Reviewing thoroughly the TF documentation and CBK transactions (sample chosen using statistical techniques and focussing on High Risk factors) with a view to identifying unusual activity which might require further investigation.
Suggesting enhancements or changes to work programmes or focus of review arising from the results of work undertaken.
Supporting Investigations team and others involved should there be unusual activity which requires further work.
Support the Transactions Monitoring Manager to prepare any required reports and/or management information

Providing training where appropriate to staff (Compliance and non-Compliance)
Report any breaches of legislation or bank policy using the bank's breach reporting procedure and escalate issue to the appropriate area.
Skills & Experience
Previous Direct Business experience or Compliance experience in Trade Finance and/or Correspondent Banking.
At least 3 years' experience working in a financial crime environment.
Strong track record in reviewing evidence in Anti Money Laundering (AML) cases and making decisions to mitigate AML risk / escalate accordingly.
Strong report writing skills.
Product and system knowledge of Actimize or similar transaction monitoring systems
Good working knowledge of UK, EU and US sanctions regimes and an understanding of other regimes.
Understanding of general AML risk issues - e.g. product, jurisdiction and client-type risk.
Ability to assess risk issues, make appropriate judgements and suggest mitigants, in order to present a balanced opinion of key issues to line Management.
Strong communication skills, both written and oral, including the ability to present a given issue to Management and argue a case accordingly.
Understanding other financial crime risk issues such as bribery and fraud.
Ability to apply holistic approach to identifying, investigating and mitigating financial crime risk in Sanctions and Transactions Monitoring alerts.
Excellent team player within a high pressure environment.
Self-starter with relevant payments monitoring experience who requires minimal supervision.
Proactive approach to all aspects of the role will be essential.
Proven ability to make quick decisions whilst also ensuring that all issues have been appropriately considered and mitigated.
