Macquarie Capital is looking to add an experienced Associate / Vice President to its market leading Infrastructure and Utilities M&A team in London. The role would include working on live high profile infrastructure transactions as an advisor and principal investor across Europe. Duties/ responsibilities will include:
Preparing marketing materials to help originate transaction opportunities across the infrastructure space
Undertaking macroeconomic, market and sector research to support transaction and client coverage
Performing valuation analysis for a range of M&A infrastructure targets and opportunities. This will include comparable companies, comparable transaction and discounted cashflow analysis, including construction of full financial models in excel
Performing process management work streams, for example preparation of timetables, working group lists, due diligence scopes etc
Preparation of transaction and offer documentation
Reviewing financing documentation and structures
Engaging professionally with third parties, such as external clients, due diligence advisors and client representatives
Assisting in internal approval, risk and compliance processes
The successful candidate will:
Have experience as a execution banker, ideally in the infrastructure, utilities, power, transportation or relevant similar markets
Have M&A experience
Have sound commercial judgement
Experience in mentoring and supervising graduates and entry level analysts
Have strong quantitative skills including extensive experience with financial models and valuation techniques
Be able to independently manage and oversee a valuation including the incorporation of key due diligence findings into a model
Have good team and people management skills
Have strong academics with a degree qualification (legal or engineering qualifications would be considered as a plus).
Ideally have experience at an investment bank, boutique or big 4
Be regarded as an outstanding performer amongst your peers
Have the ability to liaise at all levels
Have strong presentation, communication, negotiation and project management skills
Be ambitious, motivated and have the desire to succeed
